Terms and Conditions

All clients are expected to abide by the terms and conditions. In the unlikely event of failing to do so, a customer may be requested not to continue lessons with Angela’s Swim School. A refund will not be eligible in these circumstances. Clients are responsible for their children at all times (except during a lesson where the child is NOT accompanied by an adult carer) and must inform the teacher prior to the lesson of any concerns they have. Clients must accept that at times there will be physical contact between the teacher and their child, in a professional, caring manner. Swimmers should not enter the pool until the teacher says it is safe to do so and must tell the teacher if leaving the pool before the end of the session. Clients should inform the teacher of any health issues that may be relevant. There is a strict nappy policy for those children not yet fully toilet trained. Nappies (including disposable swim nappies) must not be left on the pool premises.
 

Credits & Refunds

In the event a client is unable to attend a lesson due to sickness or holiday,  Angela’s Swim School are unable to refund the client as the payment secures the place for the full term. In the case of serious illness (i.e a broken limb)  each case will be considered individually, and in exceptional circumstances, the client may be given the option of carrying lessons over at a later date. Please note that once payment has been made for courses no refunds will be given.

No refunds will be offered in the case of circumstances outside the control  of Angela’s Swim School such as adverse weather conditions, power  interruption, ‘act of god’ as deemed to be contractually outside of the swim school’s control.
 

Lesson Prices

At Angela’s Swim School the terms are approximately 12 weeks in duration.  When a class is booked, full payment is requested to secure the place for that term. Classes may be joined at ANY point in the term (and clients pay for the classes remaining). Once payment is received there are no  refunds given irrespective of the reason. No discounts are offered for siblings or for groups as the prices are highly competitive.

 

Recommend a Friend

Existing clients who introduce a new client to Angela’s Swim School pre-school  classes will be rewarded with a £5 lesson fee voucher when the new customer signs up for classes. The new client will need to quote the client’s reference number and enrol for classes in the same swim school as the client.  The voucher will be redeemable at the next re-enrolment and will have no cash  value if not redeemed in this way. Trial Lessons

Trial Lessons are available in some classes. These lessons cannot normally be booked more than a week in advance. Trial lessons are charged at £10
per lesson subject to availability

Clients’ Standards

Clients should not run on the pool side, should remove loose fitting or sharp jewellery, tie back long hair or wear a swim cap, do not drink alcohol prior to the lesson and do not eat or chew gum during the lesson.Photography (other than by our professional photographers) is not permitted at any time. Clients must follow pool procedures as advised to them at the time of confirmation. Clients should aim to arrive no more than 15 minutes before the lesson and leave no more than 15 minutes after the lesson to help improve changing room comfort. Car seats and push-chairs
etc. should not be left in the changing rooms as there is not enough room or them.

Food is strictly forbidden in the pool buildings and mess on the floor should be kept to a minimum. (mud, grass). A member of staff should be informed if the floor is soiled. Strictly no outdoor footwear or buggies are allowed poolside.

 

Welfare

All swimmers must shower poolside before getting into the pool. All plasters and hair clips must be removed before swimming in case they come off in the water and then cause damage to pool filters. No make-up or body lotions to be used as these significantly deteriorate pool water quality. Lost property found at the pools will be kept for a period of 6 weeks, and if not claimed, may be disposed of. Smoking is strictly forbidden within any pool building or school grounds. Abuse to any member of staff either verbal or physical will not be tolerated and will be reported to the appropriate authorities at the sole discretion of Angela’s Swim School. Clients must adhere to the instructions given to them regarding car parking, entry and exit route to pools. Angela Swim School cannot be held responsible for any consequential loss or damage to a client’s vehicle or property whilst in the pool’s grounds.

 

Re-booking

Clients are asked by week 7 of the current term if they wish to continue with the lessons next term. Clients should contact franchisees if they have not received any documentation by then. Places in a client’s existing class will normally be held until week 9 and then offered on a “first come first served” basis to others from week 10.

 

Personal Information

Angela’s Swim School do not store or record any information about client’s bank accounts or credit cards.

 

Returned Cheques

In the unlikely event of a client’s cheque being returned by the bank as unpaid, a £10 admin charge will be applied.

 

Lesson Changes

If franchisees need to change lessons in the event of an instructor being absent for a group or a private lesson, the swim school are within their rights to change the instructor to make sure that the lesson is covered and no refunds will be given for lessons because of a change of instructor. In the unlikely event of “last minute” lesson time change, the client will be notified by the franchisee, by text message to their mobile phone, with as much notice as possible. If the client does not supply the franchisee with a mobile phone number, a voice text will be left on their home number (messaging service required such as BT1571). Angela’s Swim School will not reimburse any expenses caused by a customer failing to pick up their message. The franchisee will always try to reschedule any lesson that has not been able to occur and the client will always be notified ASAP of any changes. The client may only claim a credit instead of attending the re-scheduled lesson if they notify the franchisee within three days of notification of the rescheduled lesson. In the unlikely event of lesson cancellations by the franchisee, the client’s account will be credited for that lesson.

The re-enrolment letter will advise the client of credits outstanding which they can deduct from their next term’s payment, or if they are not returning they can, at this stage, request a cheque which will be issued after the end of their current term. Unclaimed credit notes will remain on the system for 6 months from the first date of notification. If a lesson is cancelled part way through, the client will only be credited if they were in attendance, and for the part of the lesson that had to be cancelled, on a pro-rata basis.

 

Pool Closures

In the unlikely event of the ‘pool’ not being available for use due to technical difficulties or health and safety issues the franchisee will endeavour, where possible, to reschedule the lessons. If this should be the case the franchisee will give any notice that is possible but cannot be held responsible for any additional travel expenses incurred. When a pool is unavailable on a term basis (in excess of one week), on public health or other grounds outside of the franchisee’s control (not including operational issues with the pool),the franchisee cannot be responsible for providing any further lessons during that time. In the unlikely event of this being the case and it is not possible to reschedule the classes, the franchisee will use his/her best endeavours to either refund the unused balance of the client’s course fees or to recompense them in services or refunds in a future cycle.

 

Lost Property

All property left in changing rooms or on poolside, and all property (including prams) left in entrance halls or outside, is left entirely at the client’s own risk. The franchisee cannot accept any responsibility for the loss of or damage to any personal possessions.

 

Medical Conditions

Clients must declare to the franchisee any existing medical conditions that they are aware of that the child, or adult if taking lessons, which may be communicable or possibly be harmful or not to another person. The client must agree to inform the franchisee of any changes in any medical condition or psychological condition as soon as they are aware of them. All information will be kept strictly confidential and it is at the franchisee’s discretion to accept or refuse any applicant to join in classes.

 

Illness

Should the child or the adult taking the child into the water have, or develop, any known or suspected medical condition they must consult their doctor before taking them swimming and inform the franchisee in writing via email or post. All information received is treated in confidence and with sensitivity.Clients must never bring the child swimming if they have any illness such as an ear infection, diarrhoea, chicken pox, impetigo, conjunctivitis or merely a bad cold. They must wait until the doctor has given the all-clear before returning to classes. In the instance of sickness and diarrhoea the child must have been clear of all symptoms for at least 48 hours before attending a lesson.

 

Withdrawal of service

The franchisee, at its own discretion, may refuse entry to a client to its courses if it is felt that the client’s behaviour is in any way disruptive or unreasonable.

 

Changes to Terms and Conditions

From time to time Angela Swim School may update its terms and conditions by publication to the website www.angelasswimschool.com. The franchisee will be notified of these changes by email. The franchisee will then send his/her clients either an updated version or notification of minor changes. If the client is not happy to accept the changes they should notify the franchisee in writing of their non acceptance within 14 days of receipt of the changes, failing any such communication from the client the franchisee will deem that they fully accept the updated agreement and terms.

Angela’s Swim School respects its clients’ privacy and keep any information that is shared with the franchisee in confidence. Angela’s Swim School does what it can to discourage unsolicited spam and telephone calls. Franchisees record client’s personal information only if they provide it when expressing an interest in the franchisee’s services. Angela’s Swim School or its franchisees do not share this information with any third parties. The franchisee will call a client only if they contact them with a question and ask for a return call. The franchisee only uses the client’s personal information only to serve them better.All images displayed on Angela’s Swim School website are under the ownership of the photographer concerned. Agreement to display the photographs has been reached and they are not available to be copied.
