Swimming Level 3

For more advanced Children

test5

What do we expect from this level?

We have five different stages for this level. Not all children have the privilege of learning to swim from a young age or through a swim school. This is why we have created lessons for each child’s individual needs and abilities. The classes are structured by abilities and not age groups. All the classes are a maximum of 8 to a class to ensure they receive enough attention.

Stage One: Non-swimmers

Our aim with this group is to help instill confidence and basic swimming principles. By using arm bands we can encourage your child to adopt a correct body position in the water. The instructor is in the pool with the children which helps and encourages them to gain trust and confidence in the water.

Stage Two: Beginners

This level is for children who are still using arm bands, but have confidence in the water. The instructor is in the water helping the children to learn the three strokes, front crawl, backstroke and breaststroke. From this level we expect them to learn to swim the strokes on their own without arm bands.

Stage Three: Improvers

Moving on from the Beginner’s Level the children are expected to swim the three strokes a minimum distance of 10 meters. Butterfly is introduced at this level, and they continue to work on technique and breathing.

Stage Four: Advanced Improvers

For the Advanced Level the children are encouraged to swim lengths. We improve their technique and stamina using small fins. This gives the children the feeling of swimming fast effortlessly helping their swimming improve further. It also makes the lessons fun and enjoyable.

Stage Five: Squad Training

At this level the children are given a longer swimming lesson. We teach diving, turns and racing. Technique is always taught in every session, and this level is no exception. We work hard to increase their stamina and strength maintenance.
